Of the two, the Tonal is the more mundane. You have (I hope) read the section on our calendar; if you have you know that one's name is based on one's birth-day, so that someone born on a day 7-Quiahuitl is also named 7-Quiahuitl. It would also be said, and it's important to understand, that this person's Tonal is also 7-Quiahuitl.
