A few lines of Christmas cheer

From horror writer & poet Scott Urban:

CHRISTMAS FANTASIA

I wake up before anyone else.
I sit and stretch in the late December chill.
Christmas morn! I wonder if *he* came?
Trying not to make any noise, I tip-toe downstairs.
The tree is more beautiful than when I went to bed.
Little bulbs on strands threaded through branches
twinkle like stars light-years away.
I can't help gasping. Look at all the presents,
wrapped up so brightly and inventively!
I'm so excited, for a moment I forget to breathe.
There's a brunette . . . and a redhead . . .
and two blonds . . . who, on closer look, are twins!
Their wrists and ankles are bound by red ribbons.
Big bows, like holiday mums, blossom from their mouths.
I kneel and take the bow-gag off the brunette.
Instead of screaming (as I'd expected),
she cries out, "Open me! Open me first!"
I take the bows off the others, and each
present clamors for me to play with her first.
I go get the scissors and the package knife.
Time to do some unwrapping.
I must have been a very good boy this year.

Happy unwrapping to all...
