Sad to Glad

To change your mind from sad to glad,
Is not a job for Galahad
Or Ivanhoe, or Rambo, dad.

A Hero’s not the guy for this,
No serpent’s hiss
Or Miss’s kiss
Could speed the metamorphosis.

To change your mind from gloom to glee
You simply have to find the key.
Would you employ a bumble bee?
A maitre D’?
Or Alchemy?
Don’t fling your butt upon the sea.
No! Pour some whiskey into thee!!
