The Chronicles of ?

Introduction

A little while back I started a story. My intention was to write a series of chapters chronicling the experiences of a young man as he gets embroiled in international espionage, terrorism and assasination. The idea was to start him out naively innocent of everything and ignorant of the situation and have him evolve into a 'James Bond' like hero who saves the world. Running all through the story was to be the theme of a race of amazon warrior women hidden for centuries in the forests of Siberia who have decided for their own nefarious reasons, to bring the world to it's knees. These women have for hundreds of years through a program of eugenics bred themselves to be both fantastically good fighters as well as ultimate seductresses. This of course sets the stage for all sorts of graphic descriptions of various snuff scenes.

I never got further than the first chapter. I had originally started this for a friend and he kindly told me that it was not quite what he had in mind. I say kindly because if he had let me do all the work of continuing and never told me he wasn't enjoying it, that would have been much worse. So it sat, forgotten in some lost directory somewhere until an idea occured to me. Why not post the story and see if someone else would like to write the next chapter? Why not let several people contribute chapters and see where the story leads?

So we come to this point. I have written the first chapter of what may one day be a memorable series. I am soliciting from you, the readers, the subsequent chapters. If you feel inspired to continue with this story line by all means do so. Write your chapter and I will put it on the web as the next in a series (with credit of course).

There are a few ground rules that must be followed though so as to preserve the spirit of the exercise. Obviously the main character must not be killed off or permanently maimed. As a character he must not evolve too fast (if he was naively inoccent in the last chapter, he can't suddenly become Simon Templar in the next). Each chapter must resolve itself somehow (don't paint the next fellow into a corner) and leave a discernable way for the next writer to continue the story.

The 'hero' (who does not yet have a name, suggestions?) is a reasonably tall fellow, good looking, well built and in good shape. He has dabbled in all sorts of sporting activities but concentrated in none. He has a degree in liberal arts and is the orphaned only child of wealthy parents. He has enough money to not need to work.

I welcome your comments as well as your submittions. I would especially welcome any comments or advice on what I have written (or omitted to write) on this page in terms of guidelines.

And so...
I have not been putting any work into my personal web site since I started working on Necrobabes.  I do hope and intend to every once in a while come back here to do a bit of updating and maintainance.  Due however to my extreme negligence for a good six months, I recieved no less than four(!) followups for chapter three.  (I posted all four.  I figured the universe/story could simply split.  It would be interesting to see in which different directions they go.)  If you feel brave and patient, feel free to contribut followups to any of these timelines.  Please be aware though that you might wait a good while before I get around to posting it.  Also, let me know if I can post a 'mailto:' link with your Email adresss on the page.

On to Chapter 1...  On to Chapter 2...
