THE AMAZONS OF MOYADUSHKA (Part 3, The Slaughter)

Hadrian and his archers loosed from the stream bed. They were deployed up the valley face and their missiles arched as one wave.

Theresa-Jenn rode forward unafraid and stood in the stirrups, and in the language of the Amazons, shouted,

"DO YOU HAVE A QUEEN?"

The golden carpet of flesh answered,
"NO!"

"DO YOU HAVE A KING?"
"NO!"
"WHAT DO YOU HAVE?"
"A RULER!"
"WHO IS YOUR RULER?
"DEATH!!!"

The arrows fell among the first rows of Amazon spear troops. Quivering in chests, heads, they fell in gaps, one of Theresa-Jenn's Guard fell from her horse face first and drove the arrow out her back. She tried to rise as a huge gout of blood blew from her mouth and nose and she fell on her back, twitching, jerked once and then was still.

Just as the first horsemen reached the front ranks of Amazons, their arrows reached our ranks, and made hetacombs in the Khorgans, one screaming and almost impaling Julius with his sword, an arrow in his eye and his filthy, filed teeth open, and another arrow entered his mouth and he fell gurgling to the ground.

Five arrows took a horseman from the saddle and Hadrian ran to catch the horse and almost flew over the other side of the saddle mounting it. He was a madman, and sword drawn, he rode screaming down the small valley and took the stream in a breathtaking leap and rode up the slope. His madness and bloodlust was indicative of the first part of the massacre.

The horsemen hit the Golden Wall in a wave of splattering blood and clashing weapons. An Amazon stood, an arrow in her side, and tearing it from her flesh with a savage jerk, deflected the lance of on Khorgan horseman and with a scream and a leap, took his dagger in the chest as she drove the arrow into his throat. They both fell, rolling, she tried to rise, and then a passing sword swept her head from her body, which crumpled to the ground.

A young Amazon danced among the charging waves, her hairpiece in her hand, and she burst the brains of two horsemen before a screaming Khorgan took her in the breastbone with his lance and carried her, her limbs flopping, and kicked her from the lance, only to have a
wounded Amazon, her left hand missing and blood on her chest, to catch his leg and swing up behind him in a muscle-wrenching jerk. She slapped the helmet from him, and beheaded him with a large knife as three thrown lances took her soft flesh from the horse.

A horseman reached the Queen's Guard, and an Amazon with white-blonde hair deflected the lance of the horseman and with a spin went to her knees and swept the front leg from the horse. The Khorgan fell on her
and with bared teeth went for her crotch as he drove a dagger at her, both her hands holding the knife. She wrapped her legs around his neck and an inhuman scream and gurgling ripped from him as she clipped his jaw from his face. She drove the dagger into the top of his head to the hilt and then a passing horseman, who was Hadrian, buried his sword in her chest and lost it as a young Amazon jumped him from behind. He drove his spiked gloves into her breastbone and pulled her around to him as the horse reared and with a quick jerk of his hands snapped her neck. He rose towards the Guard and threw the body at a group of huddled Amazons and jumped from his horse into their midst.
He tried to get a grip and was thrown to the ground and as he rose, a clop of hooves and as he turned Theresa-Jenn's sword was thrown by a slender but strong arm and took him in the forehead. He stood, shaking, and fell, driving the blade out the back of his gory head.

I kicked my horse and raised my ax to send the infantry forward when the second part of the massacre
began.

Screaming Amazons took us from the left flank, towards the stream where Julius and I had killed the Amazon sentries. They poured in. Three thousand of them in a Golden Wave like the waving of wheat in a field.

Across the valley the Amazons became berserk in their slaughter, one of them going down with a quivering dagger between her breasts only brought five in her place. Julius and I fled for the top of the hill, he jumped behind me as an arrow took the horse between the eyes and it fell over, both of us taking the ground hard, and then we ran for the hill.

The Amazons flowed over the dark, huddled groups of our lost and overwhelmed troops and they were merciless in their hacking and slashing and flew screaming into the faces of our survivors, the fallen hacked and pierced in wounds that would have killed them three times over.

The Commander was on one knee at the top of the hill as we arrived, gasping, and the screaming abruptly died down. I took my armor from me and threw it down, and held my sword as I looked now at the figure riding down the opposite slope, and woth a leap, jumped the stream and was across, the Amazons parting as she rode up the slope and stopped. All was quiet as she walked her horse towards us, her bloody sword before her.

I looked at Julius and he nodded, and before anyone had time to breath he drove his dagger through the Commander's unhelmeted head, in one temple and out the other.

There were just the two of us now to face what was coming.

With a scream, Theresa-Jenn rode hard towards me and with a vicious sweep of her sword arced it towards my head and I caught it on the flat of my blade. Not the first time a woman had struck sparks with me. She turned and without hesitation rode back, and as she passed she caught the sword in mid sweep and with a twist tried to decapitate me with a backward cut that i caught with both hands on my blade, the blow so hard it drove the sword into my palms with a burning slice.

She wheeled again and and as she was upon me, with both hands she made one last savage cut at me, I swept my sword up with one hand and caught her blade, with the other I grabbed the hilt of her sword and with a savage jerk pulled her from the saddle. In a heart beat her dagger was out, thrashing limbs and shining blade as she tried to stop my heartbeat. I slapped the dagger from her hands and in an instant was on top her, my dagger out and the other hand holding her throat. Softly. She was a Queen, after all. I raised the dagger and threw it in a quick flick.

It buried itself to half the hilt in the ground beside her head. I raised and wiped the sweat from my forehead. She looked up and laughed, and said,

"My heart sings that you survived the battle, my husband and king."

Then I did something something no human has ever done to another on this beautiful and savage world of Moyaduska.

I tickled her. I tickled her till she wet herself, and pulled her to her feet and kissed her as the Amazons screamed and cheered. I kissed her till my lips burned, and then turned, her in my arms, and walked towards our victorious troops.

EPILOGUE

This record is a warning to the corporate pigs who would destroy a world and a race for cheaper pots and pans at your marketstalls. I lived among these Warriors, and fell in love with and married their Queen. She bears the first of our many children, the males will serve their Masters and our daughters will slaughter your soldier-whores, any who come to this planet. I betrayed your whores, gladly, a young Amazon sacrificed herself, three sentries sacrificed themselves, I poisoned the water pot and killed the Khorgan guards, and left the door open for the slaughter of your hire-sluts. So when your eyes turn to this world again, remember one thing.

Never, EVER, attempt to rape a M'dushkan Amazon.

Or their world.

For you will meet the daughters or Batavious and Julius Glascow in a way you never dreamed.
