A Last Cigarette: Robin's Choice

Here's another story I hope you enjoy.

In a part of the world where most people have no idea that it even exists is country called Necrovia.
It's leader was a harsh dictator known Nbabe. She ruled with an iron fist and some say she enjoyed the suffering she caused as much as the power she wielded. She was involved with drug running, white slavery, gun running and every illegal and immoral act you can imagine. She used her status as ruler to cover her schemes.
She was an Asian beauty who used her looks as a deadly weapon, seducing and murdering her way to the top.
No matter how cruel or ruthless a leader, they can never really crush the spirit of those determined to bring freedom to their land.
This is the story of such a woman.
The people called her "The Torch". Because she was the light that led the way through Nbabe's dark reign.
Nbabe knew she had to find the "Torch" and extinguish her soon before she lit any more fires.
So Nbabe set a trap. She would throw a party and see who would try to crash it. Then she would have her traitor.

His name was long since forgotten since he joined the agency. All that was left was his codename: Gunsmoke. He came here under orders to help overthrow the government for a more US friendly regime. He was alone and under equipped. His predecessor was missing presumed dead. It was a shame Gunsmoke liked Lighthands. He was an all right guy.
But now he had his mission to accomplish. Gunsmoke came upon the guard. She was a pretty, young thing named Elise. She was forced into service when Nbabe's troops invaded her village. She was not sure she wanted to be a solider when she started. Nbabe showed her a world where she had power and her gun got her respect. Elise loved that feeling. She was treated as nothing for so long, now she was somebody. Villagers trembled when she entered their village. They begged for their lives before she snuffed them out. Truly this was her calling.
To bad for her, her calling brought her here this night.
Gunsmoke knew he had to get in quietly. He came up silently behind her. He grabbed her. She struggled. She was athletic and agile but Gunsmoke had experience. After a brief struggle, he grabbed her neck and gave a twist.
The snap made him sick to his stomach. He felt her go limp in his arms. He lay her gently on the ground. It was then that he saw the sweet young face of the woman he just murdered. Her head bent at an impossible angle. Her eyes staring in fear and pain accusing him silently.
He knew he shouldn't think about it. This was war. But the faces of his victims all had names and those names had feelings and those feelings were for family and friends.
The whole thing made no sense to him. But he was just a solider. He was supposed to think.
He made his way to the palace to rendezvous with the "Torch".

In the palace, Robin was preparing. She was dressed in a stunning evening gown. It was a black sequined number. The agency paid a lot of money for her to fit the part. Her short brown hair framed her lovely face. Her full red lips nervously held a cigarette. This was suicide she thought as she took a drag. Nbabe was sure to be on to her. This disguise of a French diplomat was sure to fail. Nbabe had to know that she was indeed the "Torch".
But that didn't matter. She had given up her life to fight for the cause. If she died then her blood would be used to fertilize the ground so new patriots would spring up. So one day, Nbabe would be overthrown. Maybe not today or tomorrow but someday. Robin new all dictators wound up against the wall or on the gallows. She only hoped that she would see the day.
She stubbed out her cigarette and checked her gun. She was ready for whatever fate had in store for her.
As she left her room, she was grabbed from behind.
She was spun around and saw Gunsmoke. She kissed him hard on the lips.
"I was worried," she said.
"Sorry, ran into company" he apologized.
"Is everything ready" she asked.
"Yes" she said nervously.
"You're not the bravest heroine I've met" he joked.
"But I'm the only one you have now" she snapped back.
It was true. Nbabe had few enemies still alive. These two were trying to cut off the head, Nbabe herself in order to topple the government.
In the few weeks they had been together they had become lovers. Crazy times like this will produce such unions. Both knowing that one or both may die at any moment made their love making all the more intense. As Dickens said "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times".
They entered the party and saw Nbabe immediately. She was in the center of the room. The center of attention. The plan was insane. Get close enough and kill her. Gunsmoke believed enough of her guards wanted her dead. With her gone, the government could be easily replaced. Of course, this was a foolhardy plan as the agency found out in Cuba in the 60's but they had little other hope.
As they approached, Gunsmoke squeezed Robin's hand trying to give her support. Robin was nervous but determined.
Robin reached in her purse and was about to take out her gun when suddenly the guest surrounding Nbabe all produced weapons and aimed them at Robin and Gunsmoke.
"So I finally see the Torch" joked Nbabe.
The guards disguised as guests grabbed Gunsmoke and Robin and held them near Nbabe.
"How did you know" demanded Gunsmoke surprised his crazy plan had failed.
"Simple. I told her" explained Lighthands walking into the room dressed in a tux.
"I got tired of being an underpaid civil servant," said Lighthands.
"You bastard" hissed Gunsmoke.
"Yeah, yeah but I have a big reward coming to me" he gloated over Gunsmoke.
"Of course dear, come here" purred Nbabe to Lighthands.
He strolled over and put his arm around her and stood next to her. He smiled at the captive couple.
From her robe, Nbabe produced a long wavy dagger. She spun and buried it up to the hilt in Lighthands belly.
"Gahhhh" was all he could say.
"You see loyalty is a supreme asset to me. Anyone who would betray their country, would betray me" she explained watching Lighthands stagger back.
She approached him and stabbed him again.
The look of pain and disbelief covered his face. He couldn't believe this. He was going to run all the girls from the US to the Middle East. She promised him.
She stabbed him again.
Lighthands legs gave out. He fell on the ornate table, knocking down candles and crystal. He held on to the tablecloth trying to keep standing. It gave him no support. He fell to the floor and took it with him. The tablecloth covered his dead body nicely.
"Clean up this trash" ordered Nbabe and she turned to Robin and Gunsmoke.
"And take away that trash too" she demanded.
"Where are you taking us" demanded Gunsmoke.
"To await your execution," said the guard.
Gunsmoke and Robin were put into separate cells. Iron bars separated them.
"I'm sorry to have gotten you into this" said Robin sadly.
"I think I prodded you more" apologized Gunsmoke.
"So I guess this is it," she said detached like she didn't truly understand what was happening.
"I guess so," said Gunsmoke sure of his fate.
Robin came to the bars and lifted her skirt.
"Take me one last time" she asked.
Gunsmoke came over and kissed her through the bars. His hands stroked her cheek and rubbed her back.
He let down his pants and pulled Robin into the bars as he pushed himself against them.
She felt him warm inside her. He pumped hard and fast. The situation was driving him into a frenzy.
Robin thought it was wonderful. She came before she even knew it and felt him cum inside her.
She kissed him through the bars and touched his face. She was crying. Not at her almost certain death but that she'd never again feel him inside her.
They had just gotten themselves together when the guards came. They opened both cells and grabbed Robin and Gunsmoke. They tied their hands behind them. Then they dragged them down the hall and into the courtyard.
There stood Nbabe, smiling at them.
Twelve of her troops stood there with .22 rifles. They were Nbabes preferred weapons for executions. Slow but effective.
"You think I'm a monster," said Nbabe in a hurt tone.
"You think I'm evil" she continued.
"Well I am not without mercy" she smiled.
"I'll give you a choice" purred Nbabe, delighted with her evil thought.
"One of you may go and pardon them for their treason," she said waiting to see their reactions.
"Providing that they kill the other" she continued and stood smiling, awaiting their responses as she produced her own gun.
"Damn you" said Gunsmoke.
"No" said Robin.
"Have it your way. Both of you die by firing squad for treason or one by the others hand, your choice" she said grinning.
Gunsmoke looked at Robin. The idea was unsettling.
"Robin, you have to do it," he said.
"No, I won't" she protested.
"Then we both die" he countered.
"I don't care. I can't kill you" she argued.
"It's the only choice" he explained.
"If we're both dead, then she wins. With you alive, maybe the cause still has a chance" he explained.
"Then you kill me" she offered.
"No the people know you. They'll rally behind you," he said softly accepting his fate.
"How touching" mocked Nbabe.
"This offer and you both will expire in 5 seconds" she snapped.
"Give her the gun" Gunsmoke announced.
"Very well" said Nbabe.
She motioned for the guards to untie her captives, which they did quickly.
Nbabe walked over to Robin.
"See those guards" she said to Robin handing Robin her gun.
"Try anything and they'll kill you both" she warned.
"Now on with it" Nbabe commanded.
Gunsmoke stood there awaiting his fate. Robin held the gun in a trembling hand.
"I love you," she said softly holding back the tears.
"I love you" he said and smiled at her.
She aimed the gun at his heart.
"NO NO NO" shouted Nbabe.
"No quick kills. In the belly" she demanded.
"No. Just wait.." started Robin but was cut off.
"Just do it my love," said Gunsmoke.
Robin took a moment to compose herself.
In a flash, she had the gun up and fired. The bullet took Gunsmoke by surprise as it tore into his belly.
Robin quickly emptied the gun into him. She hoped that at least it would make his end swift.
She watched as her staggered back against the wall. He held his belly. She saw his blood flowing over his fingers as he tried to hold in his life.
"I l-l-love you" he gurgled.
He tried to smile at her but blood well up in his mouth and flowed.
He fell to his knees. She watched in horror.
He then fell on his face in the dust. His body trembled a moment then went still.
"Here damn you," said Robin handing Nbabe back her gun.
"Guards seize this woman and tie her to the post" ordered Nbabe.
"You lying bitch" screamed Robin.
"You said you'd let one of us go" she continued screaming.
"What I said was that I'd let you go for treason. But you're being executed for murder" said Nbabe with an evil smile.
"Murder?" asked Robin.
"Of course, that poor man right there and in front of witnesses" explained Nbabe pointing at Gunsmoke's dead body.
The guards grabbed Robin and forced her against the post. One guard bent Robin's arms behind her and tied then to the post.
Another guard produced a blindfold.
"Custom requires a blindfold and last cigarette be offered to the condemned," said Nbabe offering one of her cigarettes.
Robin silently took the cigarette between her lucious red lips and Nbabe lit it for her.
Nbabe then took the blindfold from the guard and wrapped in around Robin's glaring eyes.
Robin stood tied to the post. The blindfold mercifully shielding her eyes from her impending doom. The cigarette dangling from her full red lips burned shorter as her life grew shorter.
"Ready" commanded Nbabe.
At that Robin turned her head to the side. An instinct as if to somehow avoid the volley of hot lead that would tear through her soft flesh. A silly thought of just how much the agency paid for this fantasic dress now only to be shot to pieces crossed her mind.
"Aim" again commanded Nbabe as a smile spread across her face.
Robin tried to brace herself for the end. She strained against the ropes. Not with any foolish thoughts of escape but out of fear.
"Fire" screamed Nbabe delighting in the sound of the command.
Twelve bullets tore into Robin's chest. Her firm breast that would delight any man, now being caressed by hot lead.
The impact drove her against the post but she had nowhere to go.
The shock of the bullets was not felt at once. Robin thought that the lack of pain meant she was dead already. But Nbabe's squad was experts.
The pain quickly washed over her. She began to moan. She had no real strength to scream or cry.
Nbabe strolled over to her on the post.
She casually took out a cigarette. She tapped it on her gloved hand, put it between hers lips and lit it. She admired the death she caused. She counted the twelve separate red holes on Robin's designer gown.
Though she couldn't see Robin sensed Nbabe near. Every ounce of her fading strength wanted to beg for mercy. She didn't want to die, let alone suffer doing so. But she knew that this would give Nbabe satisfaction, so Robin remained silent.
Nbabe looked closer.
"Would you like me to end this pain, just ask me" purred Nbabe.
Silence was Robin's answer.
Robin could feel herself trembling as her body began to shut down.
"L-l-ook at me n-n-n-nooow" rasped Robin.
"See yourself in m-me" Robin continued.
Robin tasted the blood in her mouth and knew the end was here. She stiffened on the post. Her body straining against it's bonds. She then went limp. Her life gone.
Nbabe checked Robin for any sign of life. There was none. Pity she thought. She was sure this one would have put on a better show.
She thought for a moment about Robin's last words. Perhaps she was right; perhaps by murdering her she had created a martyr. No. That was silly. She was Nbabe, Mistress of all Necrovia. Soon she'd expand her empire into the surrounding countries, who would stop her then.
But then she sees Robin hanging there dead and her words hit home again. A shiver goes up Nbabe's spine.
Oh well, she shrugs it off, tomorrow was another day and another execution.

I hope you enjoyed this story. Please let me know what you did or didn't like about it. Till later, take care.
