Shootout at Necro Springs

Necro Springs was a thriving Silver town 5 years ago. When the mine dried up so did the town. The only ones left were the dead and those who would be soon.
The town was used as sort of a hide out for outlaws. The law was long gone here, but Justice was on its way.
Back east they say they were lawyers. But it wasn't a lady like thing to do, so they headed out west for a new start. But they soon found the only law here hung at your side.
The first they called Cactus Carol. She was a pretty woman. Her dark hair flowing in the warm breeze. Men admired her looks. This always worked in her favor. Most guys didn't expect her to be so fast with her gun. It was always their last mistake. She wore jeans, a white shirt and black vest. A Colt .45 hung on her hip and a scattergun was on her back in easy reach. She wore a white cowboy hat. She thought that the good guys wore white hats but she should have chosen gray with her brand of justice.
The other was Teri the Terror. She was also very pretty. But as Cactus Carol was cool and thoughtful, Teri was fierce and impulsive. They balanced each other out nicely. She wore a sombrero and a brown poncho over her white shirt and jeans. She liked the way you couldn't see the hands under her poncho, where she kept her twin Colts.
They were bounty hunters. The law used them to cleanup towns that they were afraid to go. These women brought in more desperados then any other bounty hunters in the west. Today they were on a special mission.
So when they rode into Necro Springs, people knew trouble was here. On the outskirts of town, Carol got a bad feeling. She felt very uneasy about this town. She stopped her horse for a moment. Teri stopped her horse next to Carol's.
"What's up" asked Teri.
"Oh nothing" answered Carol uneasily.
"We going" asked Teri.
"Yeah ….sure" hesitated Carol.
She leaned over and kissed Teri on the cheek.
"For Luck" she said with a soft smile.
Dammit thought Teri. Crazy woman she'll be making ME crazy Teri thought as they continued their ride.

Fenton was the first to see them ride in. He was opening the saloon where he was bartender. He hurried in and locked the door. He wanted for his boss to know right away.
His boss was Andrea. Everyone knew her as the "Dark Angel". She was the most notorious outlaw in these parts. She was dressed all in black. Her shirt, her jeans, her gloves all black. It contrasted with her blonde hair in a ponytail and her soft creamy skin.
Fenton knocked and walked in.
Andrea had out her Navy Colt and aimed it at his head.
"You can get dead real fast doing that" she admonished him.
"Sorry boss…wheez.. but two bounty hunters …cough..wheez..rode into town. I think its Cactus Carol and Teri the Terror" he said out of breath from fear and running.
"Let 'em come. Round up the girls" said Andrea with an evil grin.
"We'll show them a real good time" she continued.

"Do we find the sheriff" asked Carol.
Teri just looked at her blankly.
"I guess not" Carol answered her own question.
"Like this town has a sheriff" mumbled Teri to herself as they rode to the saloon.
They noticed a wagon parked in front of the saloon.
"Look at that" said Carol.
"I see it" said Teri.
"That could be it" said Carol.
"You may be right" answered Teri.
"Lets see what's up before we do anything" warned Carol.
"Good idea. Thirsty" asked Teri.
"Yeah" said Carol as she checked her gun.

In the bar, Fenton was nervously watching the door.
Sitting at a table, playing solitaire was Lisa, who everybody called Pixie because of her height. She was dressed in a smart black suit. She was a gambler and everyone knew she wore her luck on her hip.
Standing on one side of the bar was Elise. She lit a slim cigar. She was a young cute kid, who read too many dime novels of life in the west. But nobody would dare try to set her straight.
On the other side of the bar was Carmen. A friend of Elise's who indulged her fantasy world of gunslingers. She was anxious. She didn't like waiting for her prey. Hell just go out and plug them and be done with it, she thought. Oh well, she'd get her chance soon enough.
Vicky stood by the stairs. She was guarding Andrea who was still upstairs.
Andrea didn't want to be down stairs. She'd let her gang take care of things. It's not that she didn't mind killing(in fact she liked it) but she didn't want to get killed herself.
Fenton was still cleaning the same glass for 10 minutes when Carol came in.
Carol checked the room. She noticed that everyone was positioned through the bar. They were harder targets now. They were on to her and Teri. She knew this was not good and her bad feeling came back.
Teri followed a bit behind, brining up the rear. Both women walked to the bar but stood a few feet apart.
"Red Eye" ordered Carol as she looked right at Fenton who began to sweat.
"Same" said Teri as her eyes rolled around checking out the bars other patrons.
"S-S-Sure" stammered Fenton as her got a bottle.
"Ain't you Cactus Carol" asked Elise.
"Yep" was Carol's answer not taking her eyes off of Fenton.
"I'm talkin' to you" said Elise harshly.
"I hear you" answered Carol still staring at Fenton, who grew more nervous.
"Then look at me" demanded Elise.
"I hear with my ears not my eyes" said Carol with a slight smile.
Elise was outraged. She threw down her cigar.
"Nobody makes a fool of me" announced Elise.
"You're doing a good job on your own dear" said Carol as Teri stepped back but toward Carmen.
All eyes were on Carol and Elise. Teri liked that she had some room to move.
"They say I'm pretty fast" announced Elise proudly.
"I know it's on the bathroom wall" joked Carol.
Elise could not talk. Her frustration made her scream.
"Nobody makes a fool of me and lives" snarled Elise.
Carol still stared at Fenton, who was now trembling, and still has not looked Elise's way.
"I'm calling you out" demanded Elise.
"Sorry I don't swing that way" said Carol.
Teri was now next to Carmen who's eyes where fixed on her friend.
"I'll plug you where you stand, bitch" screamed Elise.
Carol now looked at Elise. This relieved Fenton.
"Go home little girl, before you get hurt" warned Carol.
"OOOHHH you'll be the one getting hurt" snarled Elise as she made a play for her gun.
Carol was a blur. Her gun out and fired before Elise even cleared her holster.
The bullet tore into Elise's chest. Dead center between her breasts. Elise'' eyes rolled up in her head and she went straight down dead.
This triggered her other gang members.
Teri used this opportunity and grabbed Carmen from behind and used her as a shield.
Lisa stood up, overturning the table as she did. She had out her gun and fanned the hammer toward Carmen and Teri.
The bullets tore into Carmen's belly and chest. Teri could feel Carmen's body react to the impact of hot lead as she held her tight.
Carmen twitched but was dead.
Teri fired two shots at Lisa and both hit her in the belly. Lisa staggered back but still tried to aim her gun.
Teri fired again and hit Lisa in the belly again.
Lisa got off her last bullet. It hit Teri in her side. Teri dropped Carmen and fell back.
While this was happening, Carol reached back for her scattergun with her free hand.
Carol saw Fenton in the mirror across the room go for his sawed off shotgun under the bar.
Carol aimed behind her using the mirror with one hand and aimed at Vicky with the other.
She fired at the same time.
The scattergun hit Fenton in the chest and belly. He was thrown backwards into the shelf of bottles. They crashed broken to the floor as Fenton hit them. Fenton bounced off the wall and slammed to the floor. Dead. His blood mixed with the cheap booze, a fitting end.
Vicky took Carol's slug in the belly. She was knocked back and lay on her back on the stairs facing upwards.
Lisa staggered toward the door but Teri had her in her sights. Two slugs hit Lisa in the back and she was thrown through the saloons swinging doors into the street. She landed on the dusty street. Her blood making a gory kind of mud under her. She looked at her gun. I ran outta luck when I ran outta bullets, thought Lisa as she died.
Carol ran to Teri.
"I'm fine" assured Teri.
"Check the one on the stairs" she ordered Carol, who was still shaken to se her partner bleeding.
Both women walked over to see Vicky breathing heavy and moaning.
She was as good as dead from that wound thought Teri.
"You'll be fine" Carol tried to assure her.
"Liar. I'm done fer" snapped Vicky.
"Got a last smoke" asked Vicky wincing from the pain.
"Sure" said Carol, who took out a slim cigar and lit it for her and placed it in Vicky's mouth.
"T-T-Thanks..cough..cough" rasped Vicky.
"Is that the Gattling Gun" asked Carol pointing to the wagon.
Vicky nodded.
"I'll check it out" said Teri.
"Be careful" warned Carol still feeling uneasy about all of this.
Teri made her way out of the saloon and Carol turned her attention to Vicky.
"Where's the Dark Angel, where's Andrea" asked Carol.
"Probably long gone, the bitch" said Vicky with disgust.
Bitch had left her to do the dirty work and she got killed for it thought Vicky.
"Where was she" asked Carol realizing Vicky was going fast.
Vicky found it hard to concentrate. She couldn't see or hear too well now either. Vicky was starting to tremble. It was so cold. Why was it so cold in July she thought to herself.
Outside Teri uncovered the wagon and saw the US Army's newest weapon. They called it a Gattling gun. They said it'd shoot a two hundred bullets in a minute.
Impressive thought Teri.
Carol watched Vicky die and got up and walked to the door. She reloaded her gun. She wanted to be prepared for anything.
"Please step away from that" ordered an Army captain who's gun was aimed at Teri.
"So you're Captain Gunsmoke" said Teri.
"In person" he said with a slight bow but still held his gun on Teri.
"Why did you steal it" she asked.
"For my Angel" he answered.
"I'd do anything for her. I'd lie, steal and now kill for her" said Gunsmoke as he aimed his gun at Teri.
Gunsmoke saw the three bullet holes appear in Teri's poncho but they were going out not coming in.
Gunsmoke took three in the belly and fired twice. Both shots hit Teri in the belly. She slumped over the gun.
Carol saw this and fired her gun at Gunsmoke.
She kept pulling the trigger till the gun was empty and still kept pulling the trigger.
Gunsmoke staggered back with every hot slug. When the last bullet hit him, he fell back sprawled in the middle of the street.
Carol was stunned for a moment. She couldn't believe Teri was gone.
Her instincts were all but gone too which allowed Andrea to make her move.
Andrea fired twice into Carol's back and the impact knocked Carol into the bar. The slugs went clean through her and exited her belly.
Carol held on to the bar for support.
"Took your damn time getting here" scolded Andrea.
"Hell I practically drew you a map to where I was. But I'd like to thank you for dissolving my little partnership here" explained Andrea using her gun to point to the corpses in the room.
"Nice shootin'" Andrea complimented.
Carol was out of bullets and luck. Andrea had won.
"Now I'll tie up this last loose end, you and take my present to Chief Wildcry. He'll just love using this on those army buffoons" said Andrea with a smile.
Carol looked at her in disgust.
"Why you ask?" said Andrea of Carol's unspoken question.
" I have 50,000 reasons" laughed Andrea.
"Well I shouldn't keep the Chief waiting" said Andrea aiming at Carol.
Suddenly the rhythmic sound a gunfire rocked the saloon.
Carol looked over at the window and saw Teri working the Gattling gun.
Teri had it aimed at Andrea. The bullets were literally shooting her to pieces. Round after round tore into Andrea knocking her against the wall. She was unable to fall from the constant impact of hot lead.
Teri finally stopped and Andrea slumped down into a mass of mangled meat and bone and lead.
Teri again slumped on the gun.
Carol staggered over to the door. She was somehow finding the strength to go on.
Carol made it to the wagon and saw Teri.
Teri looked up and smiled.
"Another…cough…cough.. job com…pleted" she rasped.
"Yeah" answered Carol with a sad smile.
"An…other…s-s-ssatisfied …cough…c-c-c-ustomer" joked Carol weakly.
Carol sat on the wagon next to Teri. Carol could taste blood in her mouth. She was going fast.
"Good job…p-p-p-partner..cough..wheez" said Teri as she closed her eyes for the last time.
"Good job" said Carol as patted Teri on the back and then she slumped down on the gun herself.
