Avon Marge - by Clemstra

It was the hungriest of times, it was the most abundient of times.

The rich grew fat and the poor starved. In the tiny hamlet near a

syrup tree ran the stream of sorrows near the family Bea.

They starved as they smelled the scent of meat,
but that night they were happy for they would
soon eat.

It was the well do to Avon Lady that had dropped by,
She was wearing diamonds as she knocked and said Hi.

They were hungry and lean, she was fat and mean,
"Why you rabble all poor, I've come to the wrong door."

They didn't mean to hurt her when they threw a broken vase, but she

fell and cracked her skull in their tiny little place.

So afraid they would be charged,
They put away Avon Marge,
in the empty freezer near the stove.

Now they fretted and they cried,
for how long her body could they hide?

Now hungry and afraid,
they a fire made,
but as flames licked the body,
their hunger made them naughty,
and the meat they did then eat.

So no more hunger did the family Bea endure,
for the body of Marge did this ensure,
and now they look forward to the ring
at the door - for after Marge they now
want more.

Avon Calling is now, a means to feed the poor.
