Something I did earlier..

BARBANNE

Dark goddess of darker tales,
spun so like a spider’s web
That catches, that enthralls,
How spins your mind this night?

Dark witches like smoke from bog.
Or wolves who howl songs of death.
Or aliens that must take flight
How spins your mind tonight?

We should beware your mind so bright
E’en as we read your latest flight
From mind so keen that visions bring,
What spins your mind this night?

Who’d have thought, from dark-haired girl
With eyes so bright and freckles fair,
So slim, so slight, beyond compare
How spun your mind one night?

Such tales as these, so bright, so rare,
You give words life as Death is near,
As Devils come, as creatures bay,
As in these tales you also play.
Please spin one more tonight.
