Fantasies

When knights so bold
Start getting old,
And maidens fair,
Have hoary hair,
And e'en dragons
Adorn flagons
Of ale that is too bold
When knights and maids get old.

When Orcs so told,
Themselves get old,
And elves so fair,
Become so rare,
So poor dragons
Flame not wagons,
But mope alone in caves of mold,
When knights and maids get old.

Now spells of fame,
Do no more flame
As Clerics Gods
Go 'neith the sods,
As wingless dragons,
Die in canyons
And join in legends of ages told
Where knights and maids are bold.

Where hobbits roam,
And dwarves brew foam,
And Ents do stride
In forests wide,
As mighty dragons,
In skies of legends,
Go fight with giants and heros bold
Where knights and maids are ne're old.
